How to Remember Your TikTok LIVE Regulars and Gifters

Why TikTok LIVE Is Hard to Remember

TikTok LIVE chat is fast. Comments, joins, likes and gifts scroll through the same small window, often on the phone you are streaming from. Someone tells you they have an exam tomorrow, and a few seconds later it is gone.

Three things make it harder than it looks:

None of this means you don't care about your regulars. It means memory alone is a lot to ask while you are also hosting a LIVE.

What Actually Helps

Greet people with what they told you

"Welcome back" is nice. "Welcome back, how did the exam go?" is the one people remember. Recognition lives in the detail, not the name.

Keep notes, however basic

Plenty of streamers keep a list of their regulars: a name, a detail, a date. One streamer who goes LIVE on TikTok and three other platforms told us she kept a notepad for herself because she "didn't trust my memory."

A notepad works. Its limits show up fast: you write it after the LIVE, you file it under a name that can change, and you can't search it mid-stream.

Tie notes to the account, not the name

Because names change, a note filed under a display name gets lost. If your notes follow the account instead, the history stays with the person whatever they call themselves next month.

Thank the gift, then remember the person

The thank-you in the moment matters. What people notice over time is that you recognize them three weeks later, gift or no gift. Write down who supports you, and also what they talk about. Chatters who never gift are regulars too.

Look back after each LIVE

Take two minutes after you end. Who was new? Who came back after a long time? Who gifted? Write down one thing about each.

Doing It With a Tool

This is what we built StreamKin for. StreamKin for TikTok LIVE keeps a card for everyone who chats in your LIVE:

Connecting takes a minute and needs no TikTok password. You enter your @username, then type a short code once in your own LIVE chat to prove the account is yours. StreamKin only reads your public LIVE chat: it never posts or follows, and it sees the same chat you see.

It works whether you go LIVE from your phone or LIVE Studio. Keep the StreamKin Live Dashboard open in a browser while you stream.

Start Small

You don't need a system for every viewer on day one. Pick the people who keep coming back and write down one thing about each. Whether that lives in a notepad or a viewer card, the habit is what your regulars notice.
